On thin ice: Ice fishing on the Saginaw Bay

“On thin ice” is a brief photo essay from the inauguration of the ice fishing season in Bay County, Michigan. Though the teenagers I photographed did not catch any fish while I was there, they enjoyed their day-after-Thanksgiving outing.
